The Cambridge Kiwanis Boys Choir was founded in 1978 by the directors, James and the late Jean Kropf to provide musical training for boys and young men in the Region of Waterloo. Murray Jull served as the choirs accompanist for 40 years. The choir is made up of boys in Grades 3 to 12. The Choir, in service to the community, annually performs at senior citizen’s residences, nursing homes, schools, churches, shopping centres, and civic functions. Past concert tours have included England, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Japan, the United States, and across Canada.
Currently the choir is under the direction of Corey Linforth (conductor) and Monica Admiral (accompanist).
The choir is filled with talented boys and young men who are passionate about music. While still connected to traditional choral music, the choir is beginning to sing contemporary choral works and musical theatre works as well.
